Guidelines Plunge Into The World of Network Marketing

If you are new, welcome to the world of network marketing... You are in for a great adventure. I have accumulated some of my network marketing tips to bring up concepts that will help prospects succeed after they have learned the basics.
Do not Prepare Too Long - Learn the basics and jump in. You will learn much more much quicker by doing instead of reading and talking with your sponsor. Remember, if you are just getting started you are not expected to have all the answers but you should know where to get them. I have seen too many people waste months preparing to start marketing a business opportunity only to have to learn the real process once they started if they started at all.
Get Online - The days of cold marketing is dead. Wouldn't you love to only have to talk to people that are already interested in the opportunity and value that you represent; this is what online marketing brings to the table. Everything from social networking, lead generation capture pages, automated marketing systems, article marketing, niche marketing and much more is geared around one thing... finding people that are already interested in something and peaking that interest.
Online efforts also have a snowball affect on top of the normal network marketing growth and continues to find prospects for you while you sleep. Plain and simple, if you are not marketing online you need to start immediately.
My favorite network marketing tip:
Market you own URL - Most network marketing companies offer a website or portion of a website for its associates to send possible prospects and customers to. The problem is that it usually looks something like this MainCompany.com/associate. Now which part of this URL do you think the prospect is going to remember? You guessed it... MainCompany.com. So if they then go check out the opportunity later on a different computer the prospect may not remember your associate extension. This may be enough for the prospect to move on.
If you own the URL that the prospect visits then they will not have to remember your associate extension. This is done by setting up a masked forwarded URL through your URL host. This does not even require you to set up a different website. You simply market your URL the same way you would the Company URL. When anyone visits your URL they are automatically forwarded to your company associate page with your URL at the top masking the Company URL. A normal URL also looks better on a business card.
Sell Yourself - Customers are looking for a good product; business prospects are looking for opportunity and leadership. Network marketing prospects are not joining the main company or the product, they are joining you and your team, so have something to bring to the table that is beyond what the company offers. Business prospects have to believe that you truly offer value and that their own value will increase if they join you. If you are just getting started you may not have much to personally bring to the table but your someone in your upline will so get with them and figure out what it is.
Know When to Let a Prospect Go - Most new associates need help getting started, and as their sponsor it is your responsibility to help them. But... you are not there to do all the work for them. If it becomes obvious that they are not putting forth the effort to build a business no matter how much encouragement or help you give them then quit wasting time pushing rope and move on. There are people out there that will occupy all of your time and do nothing to build their business if you let them.
